What would a once-in-a-lifetime experience be without a bucket list? Today I’m sharing some of the things I hope to accomplish during my time in the land down under.
Due to the nature of my trip and not knowing who I will meet or where I be able get a job, it doesn’t make sense to plan a itinerary for Australia. My life will simply be too unpredictable. Considering I am normally such a planner, this is actually quite refreshing for me. However, I thought it would be good to have a few specific things that I would like to see or do while I’m there, since there are so many amazing and rare opportunities. Since my time in Australia is finite, I figured I might as well consider my list of to-do’s a “bucket list.”
These are some things I’ve thought up before I even arrive in Australia, but it is certainly not a finished list! I’m sure once I spend some time there, my list of must-do’s will keep growing. Check back to see what I check off and what I add! Without further ado…
My Australia Bucket List
- Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef.
- Hug a koala.
- Become a coffee snob in Melbourne.
- Learn to surf.
- Sail the Whitsunday Islands.
- Bondi to Coogee coastal walk.
- Learn a new skill.
Box a kangaroo. Or just feed one.See this post about my experience meeting the kangaroos at the Healesville Sanctuary. Learn Aussie slang and use it without getting laughed at.
- Visit Uluru.
- Pose in front of at least three “big” things.
Drive the Great Ocean Road. You can read about my two-day road trip here.
- Become a “regular” somewhere.
Is there anything else you think is completely necessary in Australia? Let me know!
