Fall style just happens to be my favorite, and today I’m sharing some of the looks I’m loving for this season. While I am definitely a summer girl, the visual interest of layering makes fall the season I get most excited for, fashion-wise. There’s also just something about cozying up in a warm sweater and scarf while the crisp air blows around you. Read on the see the pieces I’m coveting this autumn and the best ways to style them!
While the head-to-toe monochromatic look is certainly not a new trend, I just can’t get enough of it in fall’s cozy textures. Helena of Brooklyn Blonde nails this look in her chunky grey turtleneck and tailored joggers. For bonus points on cooler days, drape a similarly-hued wool coat over your shoulders.
While you may associate flares with 70’s style, you don’t have to go that route to rock them. I love the way Blair of Atlantic-Pacific took a streamlined approach to the flares with a classic striped tee and knee-length peacoat. A silk scarf tied around the neck adds just enough visual interest to draw your eye up.
3. Over-the-Knee Boots
I adore this style of boot, especially paired with a mini skirt or dress as styled here by Rosie of The Londoner. You don’t have to pack these boots away once the weather turns chillier though, they also go great over a pair of skinny jeans.
I know they bring back memories of romping around as a child, but overalls really are back on the fashion radar and I have to admit I am loving it. To keep the look from seeming juvenile, stick to a minimalist color palette, like Lucy from Fashion Me Now.
Ever wish you could leave the house in a blanket when the temperature drops? Well, a poncho is the next best thing. Cozy and so easy to toss on, it may just be the simplest way to make a statement. I love this striped poncho that Mary from Happily Grey wore.
